What are the advantages of going to a private college?
The advantages of going to a private college is getting personal attention, more opportunities, and life long benefits. It can be possible that some students can pay less than they would play elsewhere because private universities tend to pass on their savings to their students.
Why do students like to choose a University instead of a Community college?
A lot of people think that community colleges are a waste of time, but they really aren't. The classes that you will take your first 2 years at a community college are the same classes you will take at a university. Depending on your GPA and the amount of money you would like to pay the cheaper way is a community college.
Private schools are often overlooked due to the high expenses but I feel that it is a lifelong investment. Personally, my top school is a private school that at first, I was extremely intimidated in applying to. Knowing what was to come from applying was a scary experience for me because I was so passionate about attending. Private is often looked at "too prestigious or high class," but I feel that it benefits you as a student more. Classes are smaller, and the curriculum is designed for small numbers as opposed to public universities. However, with high prices of admission, there is plenty of financial aid opportunities that are offered in addition to a high acceptance rate (depending on the school of course). Finding the perfect fit of where you belong is what makes a college experience so captivating. I'm happy to hear you are considering a private school to attend.
ReplyDeleteI never really understood why community college is looked down on by some. It really has been helpful in getting people through their general education classes at a fraction of the cost of universities or Cal states. If they don't directly relate to your major, then why would you want to spend so much money to fund those classes.
ReplyDeleteI don't really get why community college has kind of a bad image and why the universities are praised, in my opinion you get the same amount of education in both schools.
