Studying Abroad
How much should you save up if you plan to study abroad?
Depending on the country, you will generally want to have $200 a week for personal needs like food and school materials. It would also be a good idea to have some emergency money saved up in the currency of the country you are studying in. The cost of housing and schooling depends on the program you are enrolling in.
What should you take with you if you study abroad?
It is a smart idea to pack at last 10 days worth of clothes with about two pairs of shoes. It is also necessary to bring all important documents such as a passport or visa. While you do want to make sure you have everything, it is important that you do not over pack. There is only so much you can bring on a plane.
I like the second question and I agree with you on the over packing because if you have to many things you won't be able to carry them. Studying abroad sounds very interesting, is that something that you want to do?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you proposed this question Heather! I love to travel and studying abroad is one of the goals I set for myself to accomplish once I enter college. I am blessed enough to already be able to travel on my own time but doing it through my school on a mission, is something I look forward to. If you are interested in the program, where would you want to go? Name your top three places on your "Must See Bucket List."
ReplyDeleteI am very happy to see someone asked these questions since I and many others are interested in studying abroad. I was always curious about how it was paid for and how much it would cost to do so. Is there a certain place you want to study abroad in?
ReplyDeleteThese questions were very smart to ask! Studying abroad is something everyone should try and do to see the world. It's really important to get out of California because life is so much more different just outside this state! If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
