my friends tears and my opnion

before this chapter I was aware of trolling and what cyber bulling was and how much it effects peoples lives on the daily. I personally haven't  experience trolls or even cyber bulling before and I haven't really seen it on my social media. the only time I actually seen it was if someone posted a topic that has a two side debate to it for an example abortion and even women's rights. I would click on to the post on the picture or article and in the comments the people saying things wasn't even about the original top anymore. like the fight or the debate has gone so far and both sides got so mad that it lead to rude comments and names being thrown. we as a society cant even have a good debate anymore with out someone saying something rude or it getting out of hand. its as if our opinions are going to be the death of us. I feel people think freedom of speech doesn't apply to the other person only to themselves or they forget that everyone has that right. (when I say they I am referring to those who get mad and out of control one someone says there opinion online) this trolling has gotten worse as my high school career went on. it went from not seeing it so much to an app the whole school had downloaded and only used it to bring other students down anonymously. no one knew who that person who called you a slut or ugly no one knew who was starting it or who was saying what. I remember everyone was so hurt and scared even if there name was brought up along with the app. I went threw it and didn't find anything about me but I did come across some things about one of my closest friends at the time. I'm not to sure how she found out but all I remember was that she was crying at school and she didn't know what to do . the tears wasn't out of saddest but out of anger. she didn't understand why someone would say the things that they did. she kept to herself and she didn't get on anyone bad side. she was a person who was struggling with family and depression for a while so this app and those rude comments was a slap in the face. see you never know the back story of the person you are talking about. you think you know them and you think you have all the answers but you don't you or trolls don't know anything and just say what they want. my friend had ended finding out who said those things and that troll said it was out of jealously and he was sorry. my friends and I never looked at that person the same ever again.
